Brahmasambandh
Shri Mahaprabhuji is our Guru in Pushtimarga. Shri Mahaprabhuji resides within the heart of Vallabhkul, therefore only a Vallabhkul Guru are often our Gurudev and grant us a Nivedan mantra diksha (vocation) or Naam mantra diksha.
Understanding about Nivedan mantra and Naam mantra diksha is as below.
Naam mantra diksha, our Guru recites Ashtakshar mantra ‘Shri Krushna Sharanam Mam’ 3 times in our ears or Guru makes us recite 3 times and also gives us to wear Tulsi mala in our neck all times. After getting this diksha, one becomes a ‘Vaishnav’.
After receiving Naam mantra diksha, a Vaishnav should constantly recite the mantra at all times. There are no specific rules/regulations/customs for reciting this mantra and it can be recited in any condition or state. Recitation of other mantras are regulated.
When we chant “Shri Krishna Sharanam Mamah” we accept that “I belong to Shri Krishna.
Nivedan mantra diksha is additionally referred as Brahmasambandh mantra diksha or Samarpan diksha.
Once on a 11th day of the brilliant half the month of Shravan, Shri Thakorji Himself delivered a divine message to Shri Mahaprabhuji, that “I will accept jeevs whom you have given Brahmasambandh mantra diksha”. After this event Shri Vallabhacharya started giving out Brahmasambandh to His devotees.
Relationship with Brahma (eternal Supreme Being) is named as Brahmasambandh.
For many years this jeev is separated from the God and because of that there is no bliss left in the jeev. Jeev has no identity and is tied in the cycle of 84 lakhs or 8.4 million life and death. Imagine getting born and dying 8.4 million times!!! Our Gurudev reminds us the eternal Truth and once more joins our relation with God via Brahmasambandh mantra diksha.
How Brahmasambandh mantra diksha ceremony is done?
We have to trick day before we are getting to take diksha and on the day of the diksha we should always bath in Apras, wear fresh clothes, and then proceed towards our Vallabhkul Gurudev to urge diksha. Gurudev hands us Tulsiji in our hands and ahead of Guru’s Sevya Swarup of Thakorji Guru makes us recite Brahmasambandh mantra. After we recite the mantra, Guru takes Tulsiji from our hands and places Tulsiji on the Lotus feet of Shri Thakorji. We recognize ourselves and that we dedicate ourselves and every one things to Shri Thakorji.
We accept that “We dedicated all things with sampurna samarpan to lord and that we are yours”.
Brahmasambandh mantra is in Sanskrit which is additionally called as “Gadya mantra” and may only be recited in Apras. After getting Brahmasambandh diksha we give sampuran samarpan from all things and dedicate everything to God. We should always think that God has given us all this so we will use it for his Seva. After getting Brahmasambandh diksha we've to perform Shri Thakorji’s Seva. All things first should be dedicated to Shri Thakorji then only we will use it.
Bhav behind Brahmasambandh:
After getting separated from Lord Shri Krishna for thousands of years, to satisfy Him again the type of restlessness in my heart should happen, Lord Shri Krishna I dedicate my body, senses, life, conscience and my dharma, wife, house, son, family, wealth, this world and other worlds, with my soul. I am your servant, O Krishna, I am yours.
